Fukuyama City Refuse-Derived Fuel Plantの写真

The Fukuyama City Refuse-Derived Fuel Plant began operations in April 2004 as a key facility in Hiroshima Prefecture’s regional recycling program. This plant was created with the objective to reduce dioxins and effectively utilize untapped energy resources. The plant has a processing capacity of 300 tons per day (16 hours of operation), and it plays a central role in processing approximately 60% of the garbage produced throughout Fukuyama. Combustible waste is grinded up, dried, and shaped to create stable and quality refuse-derived fuel (RDF). This RDF is used at the adjacent Fukuyama Recycling Power Plant as fuel for its thermal power generation, and the resulting electricity is used at this plant.
