The E.R. Japan Fukuyama Plant is a recycling plant focusing primarily on the recycling of used small consumer electronics. The facility is equipped with numerous large crushers and sorting machines. Through the combination of three lines of operations, this facility is able to attain high recycling rates. These three lines are the “A Line,” for the recycling of devices that include plastic; the “B Line,” for the recycling of metal devices; and the “C Line,” for high-level sorting of plastics. In addition to large scale recycling using machines, disassembly of computers and various electronic equipment by hand is also conducted here.
