In accordance with the Containers and Packaging Recycling Law, this plant conducts the recycling of plastic containers and packaging that has been sorted and discarded by regular households. The recycling process at this facility contributes greatly to the conservation of limited resources by returning plastics to their original raw material form. This facility’s chemical recycling process also contributes to the reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by using its materials as iron ore reduction agents at the company’s steelworks’ blast furnaces. In addition, through the installation of solar power generation equipment and the planting of roses and other plants throughout the facility grounds, this facility is making efforts to build an more environmentally friendly society.
