This facility uses refuse-derived fuel (RDF) manufactured from combustible waste to conduct its operations, which include highly efficient biomass power generation and the production of molten slag from ash. By converting from a conventional waste incineration process as well as taking thorough eco-friendly measures such as effective recycling and pollution control, this facility contributes to the building of a “recycling-based society.” Visitors will hear explanations of the process of generating power using RDF, which is produced from familiar combustible waste, and hear about this facility’s establishment as a biomass power plant that utilizes renewable energy resources (RDF).
